This match was lost on day 1 when we failed to make a decent score on a good batting deck. Only 1 score over 20 (McCaughan 45) and 5 ducks told the story of a pretty ordinary batting performance.
After Andy Davies struck an early blow – literally, by hitting the Tugg opener in the head and sending him off to the hospital for stitches and also removing the other opener we were off to a reasonable start but were unable to take wickets regularly enough and Tugg ended up passing our score comfortably. Jacob Ryan 3/32, Andy Davies 3/64, Gez 1/12 and John Mammoliti 1/25 were the pick of the bowlers. Great effort from John who bowled and fielded well in his first crack at 4th grade.
